Sourcing Parameters
Before we quote, we lock the parameters that decide whether a shipment clears customs, passes inspection and performs in your market. This is what a serious sourcing conversation with Aareeti covers - and what we'd need from you to source accurately.
It's also how we work regardless of product: you give us the target on each parameter, and we source to it.
For Spices, We Specify:
Product & variety - the exact spice and cultivar
Form - whole, cracked, ground; mesh size for powders
Moisture content - maximum %
Active-compound value - e.g. curcumin % (turmeric), capsaicin / ASTA colour value (chilli), volatile oil (cumin, cardamom)
Purity & admixture - foreign matter, extraneous matter limits
Contaminant limits - pesticide residue (to destination MRLs), aflatoxin, ethylene oxide, heavy metals
Packaging - bag type, weight, liner, labelling, palletisation
Microbial parameters - where the destination requires (e.g. Salmonella, total plate count)
MOQ & volume - per shipment and projected recurring
Destination compliance - the specific certification your market requires
For Rice, we Specify:
Variety & type - basmati (by grain length/cultivar) or non-basmati (white, parboiled, etc.)
Grain metrics - average grain length, broken %, chalky/damaged grain %
Moisture content - maximum %
Purity - foreign matter, admixture with other varieties
Polish / processing - degree of milling, sortex/cleaning standard
Crop year - new vs aged, where relevant to grade
Contaminant limits - pesticide residue to destination MRLs, aflatoxin
Packaging - bag type, weight, branding, palletisation
MOQ & Volume
Destination compliance - including Certificate of Inspection for EU/UK-bound consignments
